My interest in outboards began in 1978 when my wife and I purchased our first boat (well, actually it was a square back canoe with a 1975 2 HP Johnson). From there we moved up (down?) to a 1966 Kennedy runabout with a 45 HP Chrysler and ever since that motor dropped to running on one cylinder my hobby began.
We purchased a cabin in 1979 on the beatiful Muskoka River on the south branch and I have been fixing (cursing?) old outboards ever since.
After a 33 year career as an Underground Telephone Cable Splicer for Bell Canada I retired and started collecting classic outboards to fix up. I'm a member of the Maple Leaf Antique Outboard Club and the Antique Outboard Motor Club International.
My lone and loyal" employee" Napoleon and I spend our time between Fraserburg and Scarborough Ontario fixing and collecting.
